Chaitanya Godavari Grameena Bank has been awarded Certificate of Commitment by Central Vigilance commission

It is well known fact that the covid pandemic had devastated thousands of lives across the country. It has shown adverse impact on almost all the sectors of the economy. Especially during lock down times, the challenges faced by migrant workers is highly unimaginable. In this background, the banking sector has played a pivotal role in fulfilling the financial needs of the common man. In AP, Chaitanya Godavari Grameena Bank with its 230 branches spread across 3 districts i.e. Guntur, East & West Godavari had launched innovative loan products to the tune of financial requirements of the needy people and disbursed an amount of Rs. 257.94 crores to 50351 customers. Further, Bank’s business correspondents had played a significant role in implementing Central & State Govt. schemes in an effective manner by providing services at the door steps of the customers. In recognition of the bank’s timely measures, SKOCH group presented SILVER AWARD to CGGB’s Chairman Shri. T. Kameswara Rao during the 80th SKOCH Summit held in New Delhi on 09.04.2022. On this occasion, Chairman had dedicated the award to all the employees of the bank who had worked with grit & determination amid challenging times emanated due to COVID.

In order to revive the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises sector amid Covid times, Govt. of India had announced an emergency package to the tune of Rs.3 lakh crores under Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyaan Package. Under this, Chaitanya Godavari Grameena Bank, a regional rural bank in AP had extended invaluable services to the grief stricken MSME sector by lending an amount of Rs.66.73 crores to withstand the emerged turbulences due to the pandemic. In recognition of the bank’s committed efforts in reviving the economy by providing credit flow to the deprived MSME sector, Chamber of Indian Micro Small and Medium Enterprises(CIMSME) had presented BEST RRB AWARD to CGGB’s Chief Vigilance Officer Shri. K. Narasimha Rao & Guntur Regional Manager Shri. P. Veera Reddy at the hands of Hon'ble Shri Narayan Rane, Minister for MSME & Hon'ble Shri Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, Minister for State in MSME during the Gala MSME Banking Excellence Awards 2021 event held in New Delhi on 20.04.2022. On this occasion, Chairman Shri. T. Kameswara Rao had dedicated the award to all the employees of the bank who had worked with grit & determination amid challenging times emanated due to covid.

To provide guaranteed monthly pension to poor & unorganized sectors of the society in their old age, DFS & Govt of India launched Atal Pension Yojana (APY) Scheme in 2015. From the inception of the scheme Chaitanya Godavari Grameena Bank (CGGB) is implementing the scheme very effectively in all its branches and for FY 2021-22 also the Bank has achieved the annual target set by Pension Fund Regulatory Development Authority (PFRDA). Besides above, the Bank has actively participated and achieved the targets under " APY Out Performers Campaign - for Q3" & "APY Old age Financial Freedom Fighters Campaign" launched by PFRDA during FY 2021-22. In this regard PFRDA on 13, May 2022 has organised the APY Felicitation Programme at Chennai for awarding the winners. In the programme on behalf of the CGGB, Sri P. Veera Reddy, Regional Manager, Guntur & Sri Mohammad Mazeed, HOD - Financial Inclusion have received a total of 6 awards from PFRDA Chairman Sri S. Bandopadhyaya. Along with the above delegates Sri Raja Babu, Coordinator, SLBC, AP & others participated in the programme.

CGGB bagged Atal Pension Yojana (APY) Big Believers Award. PFRDA Chairman Shri Deepak Manathi ji presented the award to CGGB Chairman Shri T Kameswara Rao garu at a gala event held at Chennai on 16.06.2023. Shri T Kameswara Rao garu dedicated the award to staff and business Correspondent of CGGB.
